DL-Arginine hydrochloride (DL-Arg) is a racemic mixture of the natural proteinogenic amino acid L-arginine and the non-proteinogenic D-arginine.
Application Notes
DL-Arginine Hydrochloride is used in physicochemical analysis of amino acid complexation dynamics and crystal structure formations. It is substrate for nitric oxide synthetase; induces insulin release by a nitric oxide-dependent mechanism. DL-arginine hydrochloride has been utilized to culture Eubacterium lentum and produce 3a- and 12a-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases. The use of DL-arginine at 3.3 mM to probe the potential of the inner mitochondrial membrane from rat liver has been investigated.
