Description
SMARTScribe Reverse Transcriptase is a high-performance enzyme for unbiased cDNA synthesis, allowing amplification and library construction from any RNA transcript. It is a modified MMLV reverse transcriptase that generates long, full-length cDNA (up to 14.7 kb) from rare or long transcripts while preserving the relative proportions of transcripts in the original RNA sample. A proprietary purification process removes virtually all contaminating nucleases. It is specially formulated for use with Takara Bio SMART kits. Applications include RT-PCR, real-time PCR/qPCR, gene expression analysis, cloning, library construction, microarray and 5' end assays.
